It’s Christmas Time!

The Vale of Glamorgan (VoG) Council have announced that during the weeks commencing 25 December and 01 January collections will be as follows:

Black Bag Collections

Residents will be able to put out up to six black bags for collection on their scheduled black bag collection day between w/c 25 December and w/c 08 January.

Black bag collections will remain on the three weekly collection cycle with an increased allowance of two black bags per household per week instead of the usual one black bag per household per week. Recycling collections will be unlimited and will continue on a weekly basis.

The normal limit of 3 black bags per household will resume from Monday 15 January 2024.

Christmas Trees

The VoG council will be collecting Christmas trees from designated collection points from Monday 8 January 2024 to Saturday 20 January 2024. Collection points are yet to be determined.

You do not need an appointment if you are only dropping off your Christmas tree to one of the Household Waste Recycling Centres in the Vale.
